On Tuesday the 3rd of May we took a trip to the death extermination camp called Mauthausen. It had a very dark atmosphere there. It felt for me as if I could really see the suffering these people went through.
More than 90 thousand people were imprisoned and killed there. Summing up the war claimed about 7 million deaths of people. This was called holocaust and happened from 1941 until 1945.
The ideology behind these cruel crimes is called Antisemitism.
Everything there seemed very old and ugly. I had the feeling as if I could feel the souls of these people touching me. It was a very special excursion.
